Sorry for the short notice but I didn't think there would be much interest in this show so I did not post anything about this until now.
For everyone that can't go to Key West or the Prius race, come on out to the Florida State Fair grounds tomorrow, Saturday June 12th for the "TUNER SHOWDOWN."
It is sponsored by Tampa Hondaland, Make and Models Magazine, and Hotglow. There are sure to be numerious models there to get your picture taken with. I will be at the COLDfire booth, pitching Deep Cryogenic Thermal Processing.
I have two free passes for the first people to post and say they are coming.
You can call me at the show tomorrow and I will meet you at the door with a pass that I got for entering my car. I won't need them since I am also a vendor.
Look at your poster. I see two models and a fender. So why's it called a Tuner Showdown?
Okay, before you dismiss me as a religious radical, consider this. At a night time car show in Mobile that I entered Paco Belle in a few weeks ago, there was a bikini contest that attracted about 40% or fewer of the attendees. The rest of the folks were still admiring the gleaming iron. I was admiring both.
Later on in the show, a fight broke out in the crowd. EVERYONE ran over to see what was going on.
So why doesn't your poster show two guys with bats going at each other? I'm sure you'll attract more people.
It is not my poster. It came from a card handed out by Tampa Hondaland. The Makes and Models magazine is a sponsor and so is Hot Glow. Hot glow is why it is late. For the Neon contest. Makes and Models will have models to pose and to attract the horny guys. I don't think it is much of a show down. Not like racing at NOPI.
BTW. Two people have claimed the free tickets. Already. Sorry.
Not bad I would say about 75 cars. Several vendors. Three times bigger than NOPI Bradenton but not as big as NOPI Atlanta.
My car won Best of Show for Imports and my friend won Best of Show for Domestic for his Bad _ss Supercharged C5 Corvette.
The big hit was my lighted windscreen. It is a 7/8s one with Supercharged lasered into it. Everyone thought it was trick to light up red for braking and white for reverse. Other than that it was lit blue.
I dont know man....I thought it was a pretty bad turn out...I was out there selling sunglasses....ended up leaving early. I wasnt expecting a big turnout, congrats on the win though.
