I just washed the stuff off, came right off with soap. It's kinda an oily substance. The hose won't take it off by itself (so it's rainproof), but I could wipe it off with my finger. She read the directions before hand, you can leave it on for up to 3 days. I had forgotten I told her I wanted some a few months ago. Now I can paint my numbers on when I autocross

She figured the hood would be an ok place to "freak me out", since I've got my original still in the garage
