So the trip has been booked for a couple weeks now, and I should be coming by shortly.

I've already looked into the jetski rentals, the deep sea fishing, disney, and the aquarium thats close by. We've basically decided we would be doing 1 event a day. But I was curious to know about any shopping malls/outlets close by?

Bern's Steak House in Tampa

World renowned, make sure you take the kitchen and wine cellar tour. and absolutely go upstairs to the dessert room.

Steaksor anything on the menu are guarenteed to be the best available.

Channelside and Ybor are fun for clubs/bars/drinking. In clearwater you have the mostly suburban Countryside Mall. International Plaza is our best mall, located next door to Tampa International Airport. John's Pass is pretty cool for touristy beach shopping and finding rentals for anything you would want by the beach or on the water.

Bern's steak house is a must! Ask the waiter any question about the business and they will know the answer. They work on the ranch and in the kitchen prior to serving the tables. Just bring your platnum card and let each couple pay their own bill. It will be a memerable night. Desert room - FTW!

Also go to Ana Maria Island's Sandbar Resturant for a nice sunset dinner. Give yourself 30-45 minute wait time. Unlike Bern's, you don't need to dress up for this one.

One well kept secret is Della's After Dark. It's in Brandon (east of Tampa). It's a smaller version of Bern's with live Jazz on Thurs-Sun.

Beaches - Ana Maria Island or Fort Desoto are really nice and significantly less crowded than Clearwater.

We are back to our Thursday meet routine so let us know the date(s) you will be here and we can plan the meet in Pinellas county some place close to Clearwater and you can meet and hang with the Tampa S2K crew.

Ft. Desoto park is home to one of the nicest beaches in Florida. In addition, there are several triathlons that are run in the park, including a March event that's a hoot. The swimming is great and the beach is wonderful. You'll also enjoy the beaches on Clearwater, just as nice but a touch more crowded than Ft. Desoto park.
