Well I finished up the install Sunday afternoon and took the car out for a spin only to find that Vortech sent me the wrong ECU and they happen to be out of the ECU I need so it looks like I'm going to have to wait at least a week before I can really see what the car can do- this SUCKS!
Overall, I was impressed with the kit. The directions need alot of work but the design of the kit itself was really impressive. After having done the install, I would have to say unless you're an above average machanic, don't bother messing with it. It's definitely worth the time and money to pay someone with experience to do it, not to mention, you probably would need to invest in quite a few tools to even get you started. If my buddy didn't come down from Jax. to help, I would have been running all over town looking for tools and things and this install would have taken about a week.....if I was lucky!

The 8 grand is for the sc, exhaust, headers, and install. Thanks for the info on the SuperCharger, let us know how the finished unit works out.

it's family owned and basically opperated. the best thing about them is that they are actually really nice and speak fluent english if that matters!

ask for chris and tell him that tommy w/the yellow S referred you!
you won't get a discount, but i told him i caught a post of someone asking and i'll tell them about his place!

Well, after several weeks of waiting for Vortech to come up with a timing computer that works, I finally got my car back together and on the road last week and let me tell you...I was WELL worth the wait. The car is a blast to drive. It's still lacking on the bottom end but when the VTEC cam kicks in, the car just pulls like crazy. I highly recommend the Vortech kit to anyone. Now the car feels like how it should have come from the dealer...I'm a very pleased with the outcome!!!!

TKT- My mechanic in Jax did an awesome job (and didn't charge much) Let me know and I would be glad to put him in touch with you. After having helped him do the install, I would have felt much more comfortable if I knew my mechanic had already done a Vortech install.

(Prestons Automotive)

They Installed my AEM CAI
They Installed my H&R sport Lowering Springs.

Next time we meet check out how they installed my CAI with all the hoses and "BENT" intake tubes VS. Blues2000boy(Jonathan) proffesional installation.

Oh by the way: I had asked to leave my oem intake and springs there for 24 hours "With permission" so I could come back and pick them up as I was heading straight for Moroso and the day after my OEM parts were "GONE!?!?" They said we thought you didnt want them anymore so we threw them in the garbage.

Chris: He did the install himself on my s2k.

Good Experience with Preston: How they shaved some Hiperwhite bulbs connecters to fit in my e46 m3 tail & turn signal lights. Oh umm.. for $45.00

Good Luck!
