Wassup from Hawaii
Just saying hi to everyone back on the east coast. I am still getting settled out here, getting used to the culture, meeting the different breed of s2k owners out here. So far having a good time, great hiking, awesome beaches, and I am stuck at work most of the time! It's cool I cram everything I can into my free time and it is worth it to live out here.
Most frustrating thing about owning an s2k out here is the average speed limit on the island is 25 mph......its KILLER. I feel like I am mistreating my car every time I crawl around the island..... and most of the cop cars only have a tiny blue light on top and can be practically any car out there....
s2k owners all seem pretty cool, lots of asians, so definitely different! Caught an auto-x 2 days after picking my car up (which was free of damage! unlike my motorcycle) and had a blast. Very small technical course which was a fun change, till I get sick of 30 second courses.....I was also granted the awesome chance to race a guy's NSX during the fun runs. Only second time I ever hung out with the guy and he let me drive his NSX. Very different from the s but it was badass nonetheless!
Cool thing is they have a few people who just come to take pictures of us racing and post em up on their site, here is an example of the level of the pictures they take for fun...

I will prolly randomly post some pics I take around the island, and should have a couch soon for anyone wanting to visit hawaii and avoid the insane hotel prices, so just let me know, or once I know my way around more I can at least recommend some places on Oahu (and other islands when I find time to explore them...)
Hope everything is going good over there!
(oh and I got a fix it ticket for my exhaust on the 5th day I was in Cali, and it was only the second time I took my car out....that state is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!)

I did not trophy because there were 3 datsuns on r-comps in front of me, that also took FTD. I was the fastest s2k though, and was only 1.6 seconds behind the 2nd and 3rd place r-comps.....so maybe if I invest a little money in tires at some point.....
in the meantime I am trying to convince them they need and stu2 class
