water bugs ...
just fyi ...
in case anyone else here have boats, vessels, watercraft, ect. and want a nice lake to visit ... i can suggest Lake Weir. The water quality is above normal and has a sandy bottom around a good portion of the lake.
Gator Joe's a great place ... good food and a full bar with swimming area for the kids.

not a lot of parking ... nearest boat ramp is across the lake (5-10min boat ride).

yep ... nothing but good times there. Gator Joe's get's bigger and crazier every year (the owner, John, said he has a hard time keeping up and LOTS of offers to buy the place).
They have already broken ground on the new boat ramp/yatch club at Carney Island too. Looks like 6-8 ramps ... and they need it considering how many boats are there.
If the weather holds out I'll be there Saturady afternoon if anyone wants to come out.

i'll be out there a lot more this year ... well, on the water in general. Crystal River/Kings Bay is also a great place (in the 'shallows'). Cresent Beach just south of St. Augustine is nice too. And if you're in for a day trip ... heading up to Jacksonville on the St. John river is a great ride.
200 hours on my boosted Honda and still runnin strong!
One day i'll drop it in at Miami beach and ride it to the Bahamas! Just call be bait.
