OK OK OK

I like the TBAS2K website URL but I thought that was name for a subforum created by Tidal and for a core group of owners. I dont want to step on toes or take over a name or project.

Besides I think what Brian was saying is important too we should come up with a name that represents a broad scope or a core belief.

I was joking around when I started the z spelling too

I like the VTEC element in the name. that covers a broad spectrum of vehicles and also nails us down to Honda/Acura too. It also ties us together with out worrying about who redlines where.

-- FLA Redliners

-- The VTEC Faction

-- Combustion Crewe

-- VTEC Alliance

I dont know this will be hard but if we come to a consensus on 5-10 good ones then we can vote.

Ones that I like so far:

Bay Performance West

Project S

Combustion Crewe

Gulf Gang

As silly as this sounds I really like "None OF The Above" too!

A bit out there and I know it was not meant to be a name but I thought it was cool. And if you think about it, it does put us in a class all by ourselves.

I was messing around with the "z" spelling myself

Hey CO, start a poll.

If you want TBAS2K, that's fine. We are/were known as that. If you want a more general name to include to other makes, then that won't work of course.

I do have to ask why do you want to include other makes? Sure we all know other great owners of other makes, but this is a S2K site. If you want to include other cars, them maybe you don't want a S2K club but something else? If so, why ask this question on a S2K site?

Don't get me wrong, and most of you that know me know that I always tried to include other makes at our meets, but the Z owners and the NSX owners, etc. all have their own groups. They don't need the S2K owners to include them IMO. What other groups have the S2K step childed in? Why should S2K step child in other makes into their name? Then it really isn't a S2K club.

This is just my .02 since I don't live here/there anymore. Take it as you want. You won't get any distinctive recognition if you include any and all makes under an umbrella name. I you want to include everyone/makes, then you need to make your own forum and welcome everyone in. Then decide on a name based off that group. Maybe like a Tampa Bay area roadsters club type gig or something.

I know it's all about the people, but a club does IMO have to be a bit more restrictive. Will you not then include Civics, RX8's , Skys, Solstice's, just because they live in the TBA? That in it self would demand it's own group, but you do need your own identity as S2K owners also. Then you can splinter/expand off that? Do you not want a S2K group at all?

I'm a little upset that people want to abandon the TBAS2k. It was initally created so that we could park together as a group at the Z-Hills car show. As a member that was there at the conception I don't see why we can't use that.

Is it not zippy enough? Are you trying to separate from the old members or add new ones? Adding new ones is fine.

The TBAs2k is the reason that all of you get together and meet now. The skyway meet, the park meets, the drives all started because of TBAS2K.

Why start something new?

Tidal is right. (crap I can't believe I said that), do we want only S2000s? Do members that sell there car get eliminated? The TBAS2K web site was keep up for us to use, why change?

If you do change the name and call it VTEC something can single cam civics join? There are a lot of vtec cars. There are a lot of car clubs out there that include a lot of cars. Why don't we all just join them. ie Team SSp.

Well if you go team topless that singles out many cars. Now if you go to Team Topless VTEC that would only include AP1/2 and NA1/2 and the del sol but those come single cam which isnt a vtec

If you have to add a new s2000 group change the order to:

Topless Team. I can see a lot of potential for this.

Dave and Jeff make good points too. I dont mind the TBAS2K name at all. I was just concerned for those that started that group. It's not that we need to start a new one, I was just being respectful to those that founded that group.

The inclusion of "other cars" was only for the consideration of the one or two people out there that contribute greatly to our S community. We can have an S specific name and still include those one or two people.

I think our grand idea got lost in translation here a little bit. Lets back burner this thing a little and see what everyone wants out of a club. Then we can decide on what to call it.

If you went w/ something like 'Team Topless' you could use the slogan: Top Down, Year 'Round

See it rhymes hehe
