What About a Florida Super Meet in 2003?
IF you set it up in late april, early may, I would certainly like to come and crash your (in)famous FLA hospitality. Might be able to bring 2-3 other owners also. Let me know if you will open this up outisde the borders...
I vote for the car/people oriented weekend. A CMS track event would be great or maybe an autocross school (www.autocross.com/evolution/)
My only concern about doing a track event in conjunction is not everyone would be willing to pony up the $300/person it would cost to facilitate such an event. I would want to proceed with caution on that. I'm sure the usually track-lovers would, but the casual S2ki-ers may be discouraged.
Track events are a total blast, but more expensive. We'd probably need 50 cars to make Sebring feasible, wouldn't we Wei-Shen? And the majority would be in the novice class, so we'd need a ton of instructors. Which is why I thought maybe a full CMS event with spots reserved (20-30) for S2000's.
For a full track event, we could post to LA, GA, SC, VA, etc, and draw some more cars.
What if we could pull a CMS event on a Sat at Sebring, and an Orlando autocross/show, drive, entertainment Sunday?
If we're gonna have a "Super Meet," it might as well be a whole weekend.

WOW!
Glad I started this thread. Lots of response I see. This is awesome.
In catching up with some of the posts I lean towards more of the casual/social thing myself. I would love to watch somebody race, etc. but that's just not my cup of tea. Love to watch so majority rules on that one.
The idea of doing some stuff with a dealership, a car show, some installs, proper Zaino-ing, dancing, food, drives, beach time sounds awesome. At this juncture I'm open for any date. I have a family fishing trip somewhere in that vacinity but if I know about this way ahead of time I can make sure that doesn't conflict.
Again, I can easily get 10+ of us to come down from First Coast S2000. Ex. I just posted for our 12/7 meeting earlier today and I have 9 RSVPs. I'm expecting several more by early next week. This could be HUGE and other states are MORE than welcome. The Florida Super Meet was just something that stuck out in my head as a starting point after meeting some guys in Clearwater, etc., etc. Why not get more of us together. All goes well it could be an annual event???
Let me know how I can help and I'm on it with no hesitation.

i do to like the idea for track event i agree that not everyone is going to want to fork out $300. if were trying to get a huge showing i think a dealer show or something like that is the way to go. but we do have to figuer it out soon.
