Hi Gang-

I'd like to see if anyone has interest in getting involved with a TBA charity called "Wheels of Success". They assist people in need with getting reliable transportation. Their information can be found on this website.

www.wheelsofsuccess.org

My friend's mom founded this charity and she is on the board. It would be a great venue for us to give back to the community. (Don't everyone get all misty now). More details to follow, but what I would propose doing is having a meet to raise funds or if anyone has an car related items to donate, I am sure they would gladly take them!

Just wanted to give a heads up to see if there is any interest. Thanks!

I'm kind of broke right now and I don't know how much good a lone yellow Jeep would be at an S2000 meet but if there is anything I could do I'd certainly be interested. Jessie and I have been talking about doing something community service wise but time seems to be our main problem (more so for her now than me since I'm not at hell-greens anymore).

I'm not too sure what I could donate? I looked at that link, but still am unsure what I could do.

From what I understand, they are currently contacting local car clubs to do an event. Generally, their events are done at a local restraunt/bar (the next one is at Blue Martini). They charge $ to get in- this usually gets you some kind of drink discount (sometimes) and entry into door prizes (one of the last grand prize winners got a free Jaguar rental for the weekend).

I am sure there are a number of ways we can help out and not all cost $$. I'll get some ideas going with my friend and present a few....

One of my suggestions is we sponsor a meet at Quaker Steak....but I have to find out more about what is involved!
