Anyone know a good shop around here that can open up the tranny, preferrably one familiar with s2000s?

 

Try installing it yourself. That is if your familiar with the car A buddy and I always do our own work.

 

If you're talking about putting in 4.44 or 4.77 ring and pinion gears, I don't think you want anybody taking your tranny apart. You might want them to take your diff apart instead.

 

I would try Dynamic Turbo. Look up the number on yellowpages.com. Ask for Jose "Pep".

 

The guys at TPS (total performance service or specialties, Belvadere and Dixie Hwy) in West Palm are pretty good. Kinda far from Miami. Or pm Chris (cjb80) from Bullrtproof Automotive in Naples, he's had a ton of high performance work done on his car. I'm sure he'd know someone you could trust to do it right.

Keep us posted on the results, this is one of the mods I've been thinking about.

Try Pacific Performance... they've done work on a few s2000s including mine. 954.677.0205 + they are a authorized Spoon dealer and have a bunch of stuff for the s2000 in stock! Ask for Darin and tell him Leo sent you.
