come to the shop and pick up my crashed hood. We can practice on it and then go to town on yours. I would buy an OEM hood and do the battery side if we got good at it

WHERD!!!

I'm wanting to do this too as soon as the rest of my car is back together. I have the tools for it, just not the balls .... yet

I have been waiting for time to do my spare hood. I think I like the two on the top on both sides better than the three on one side.

You could just buy this one.

vented hood

I may try it Sunday. The only thing is you will have raw metal on the edge and the hood should be painted. You might be able to use touch up paint on the edge.

I am also going to urethane the hood insulation and maybe carbon fiber the side you see. That way the water that comes through the vents will run to the egde without ruining the fiber material. I also know a place that may have the vent material.

I'm in Mexico City and have a couple of hours before I fly to Detroit that is why I'm here. There seems to be a lot of people on line. Who works?

O.K. Thet's not turn this into a hate thread!

What does everyone think?

Three vents on one side.

Two vents on one side.

Three vents on both sides.

Two vents on both sides.

3 on the battery side for me too

although the two or three in the middle might look sharp too, but not on my car!

can we do something like this to my CF OEM???

Jeff what are your thoughts? I traded my Cwest vented hood off to get rid of the vents in the middle of my engine bay (waterspots on my newly polished goodness = teh suckness) BUT the vents along the battery side would not mess me up as bad I think.

Regardless, I will wait until I can see if I can get rid of my waterspots on the gel coat first.

I've actually been wondering how it would look w/ the front middle two cut out. Guess I should photoshop something.
