I need to see about getting some money from Robbins for my top that started to split along a seam less than a year after getting it. If they honor the guarantee, I'd be interested in that deal too.

That is great. I will check with friends with S2000's. I just had mine replaced recently under warranty at local dealer.

just paid 1575.00 at local honda dealer for a new top. The inside liner over the last bar came loose and the manager had the balls to tell me that that piece is from the old top. The drivers side corner also ripples inwards and you can see the mechanical parts of the top along the bottom, his excuse was that I needed to let the top stretch out. They currently have the car and are attempting to fix the problem. I feel a bit ripped off for the price your getting. Do you know of anyone who has had their S done there?

If willie is talking about the shop i put him on I can vouch for the shop and the top.. Ive had 2 done by him already (seats stolen first time and not stolen the second thanks to the seat locks).. Ive known him for 6 years and have had custom interiors done by him for myself and friends (whose car has won many shows)..

^

jman vouches for the guy, and many have seen his top and been very impressed.

$1575.00 is fairly standard for a Honda Top and install. I bought my car new and even from the factory I wasn't all that impressed with the quality and durability of the top. I am not prepared to pay top dollar to have mediocre materials installed poorly.

My local Honda dealer isn't that good at all. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues Jims2000.

I will give a full and detailed report on the quality of materials and install on this job. So far Omar has been a pleasure to deal with, and I am expecting great things.

$900 is an awesome deal considering the work involved ... paid close to that for the Honda top alone.

Joaquin
Yea, the top retails for $900+ Labor alone is like a 12 hour job, which is what dealers list it as and the labor would come out to be $800+

so yea, DIY is a pain in the ass like Joaquin says.
