yeah man, it is pretty close. Luckily I live beachside (i.e. East and across the ICW), and the fire is raging across I-95, a few miles west of me. Thanks for your thoughts, but we're doing fine. There's pretty much no chance that the fire will reach me.

The smoke clouds were unbelievable earlier today, very high and dark.

But, getting to work tommorrow is going to suck with I-95 closed.

What is the acreage up to? About 1000 if I heard right over the radio last night?

We're still battling our 3000+ Acre fire here in Port St John. Luckily, ours is contained for now, but the smoke has been awful. I've been running the Fire Rescue Command Bus off and on for the last week, and the constant exposure to smoke and ash, along with my pre-existing cold and upper respiratory infection, and the last week has been awful for me. And now it looks like we might have to send a few of us up to Volusia to help out your guys,

But anyway, stay safe. And if you can manage to keep out of the smoke, do so.

As long as the wind is west, the smoke is unavoidable. We woke up to find ash all over our yard this morning.

funny,or not,.... today they shut down I-75 from my exit(Big Bend) to a few miles North because a huge brush fire started and just blazed out of control, fire burned I think like 360(+-) acres than jumped the highway. crazy all these fires, WE need rain!!!

And glad to hear everyones OK.
