I need to have my windows tinted, but I'm really picky about these kinds of things. I want 10%-15%, and I want it to look factory installed. What I mean by that is, I don't want there to be any gap at the top of the window where the tint is cut at. So many places do a really half ass work, and I'm of the "you get what you pay for" school of thought, so I'm willing to pay a fair price for top quality work. Anybody have a recommendation in the Central FL. area?

Look in the yellow pages in your area there are plenty of places that are "commercial" meaning a store location or detail shop that offers this service. But, you can also find "private" dealers as well they work out their garage or similar small location and often have the experience and materials to do a super job.

The important thing is interview them. Ask if they install 3M quality materials, ask if they do "micro edge" which is that really close to the edge tint application i think you are wanting. Unfortunately there will be at least 1/16 of an inch gap from the top of the window. factory tint is usually a film between the two layers of glass - hence no gaps. The S2000 side windows should be pretty dark from the factory but if you do the two windows and say, a strip across the front, then it should not run more than 70.00 or 80.00 if they are very expensive shoot for $60-$70.

See if they have pictures and most of all look around and judge the atmosphere - but - just because they do not have a clean cut shop does not mean they do not know what they are doing. I have some of my best tint jobs come from some pretty seedy locations.

it is just a matter of what will set your mind at ease. If you want sponsor banners on the walls and uniforms, then stick to the commercial shops.

This is hard request to give a clear cut answer to.

Jeff, do you remember how much they charged you for just the side windows. I'd like to get them done.

 

Mine was a package deal with the whole thing. They charge about what everyone else does. I think a normal car would be about $149. Just the two sides shouldn't be $100 probably about $90. Just call them and tell them you are my friend. I am friends now with all of them. Lisa, Brian, and Rob.
