Default Windshield replacement

i've been thinking it's about time i got my windshield replaced, it was sandblasted when i got it at 20k miles. when the sun or bright light hits it is difficult to see out. i don't see any reason to have honda do it, or use honda parts, since i'm not that impressed with the windshield performance. i did some searching and other owners, not in the tampa area, have used ppg glas and various installers and been happy with the results. all for around $200 too.

anybody have their windshield replaced and have any insight/suggestions for someone in the tampa area????

thanks

My friend Phil McCaferty at BAY AUTO GLASS can do the job. We were in the Springhill muscle car club together. He has done many windshields for me and my friends. And would be the only guy I would trust with my S2K. He is a car guy and has a Couple of nice GTO's
He has a mobile service and can come to you. His phone number is 352-796-6556 or 800-684-3060

Tell him that Ben with the Blue 67 Corvette sent you he also did the mirror in my antique fire place mantel.

I would use Honda glass. My wife just had her Civic done. She didn't specifically ask for Honda glass. Now she has some cheap piece of crap with really bad green tint across the top.

I had mine replaced by an independent (Bob's Auto Glass) in Lakeland, at just a few thousand miles due to a stone chip. Not suggesting anything, but remember most insurance in Fl covers w/s with no deductible. My chip was almost imperceptible, but right in my direct line of vision. Horrible at night. After market glass, I believe, and at 19K no problems.
