can anyone fill me in on what was on that site and how you travelled to this location from it? it has been at least 4 years since I was even on that website...


IIRC, Tidal had a ton of archived phots from ancient events there...and that was about it, right?

do we try to get the site from his server and archive it as part of a new shell or do we start fresh. All respect due to all the "OG" FLS2K people...

 

I think you might be thinking of another site that has all that archived info rob. I dont think fls2k.com had any actual info on it but was more as a "gateway" that directed you straight to the FL section of s2ki...

Correct, it was just a straight redirect to the main FL forum.

 

OK it looks like it was indeed a 3rd party URL and that it has nothing to do with s2ki so we are left with:


purchasing it on our own and doing something with it. I will look into using it soley as a redirect or developing a simple container site for photo galleries if we want to host it to serve as a catch all for various events.

this is a statewide issue so i want to move this to the main FL forum for discussion....come find it there for more debate....

 

I want to see if maybe i hear back from the guy that did own it to make sure he's not planning on bringing it back up or what not or if we should just purchase it. I'll report if i hear anything...

 

David Axel is Willie Gee's friend who set up the hotlink FLS2k.com for Bill and I back a while ago. I will have to talk to Bill and see whats up with it.

I honestly never use it anymore.

 

this was my issue as well.. I thought it was the website that Tidaldave and the OG FL crew used to have for photos galleries of trips and meets back in the early days. My last visit to that site was years ago.


I honestly had no idea we even had a redirect URL to the FL forum LOL

 

Yeah. Bill and I thought it would be a neat Idea to have a direct link to the florida section. I still dont know whats going on with it.
