beauty restoration.... odd how that word salvage bothers some, yet.. how many salvage cars go thru the auction for 100,000 restored.. like a 1960's something or other,, oh my, they had to completely restore that pile a junk an wow, it sold.. salvage didn't seem to phase them... lol.. so.. say another 20 years.. we should see S2000 going off the auction blocks for unseemingly innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnsaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnneeeeeeeeeeee prices.. and you've got to know they were salvage...good luck, beautiful car...
Yes, unfortunately the word ' Salvage ' on the title or in a Carfax report scares most potential buyers off without even some research into what the reason(s) for the ' Salvage ' designation are. I too have had a salvage titled vehicle, which I found to be as safe and mechanically sound as any other used vehicle I have owned. There are many reasons for the salvage designation, and they do not always involve catastrophic wrecks. I would definitely do research on the reason(s) for the salvage title before buying, but would not automatically exclude all such vehicles from my search. Also these vehicles can usually be had for a reasonable price. Just make sure to use due diligence !
