Something small, like a glock or sig. Anyone have anything out there for a good price?
They may even give you a military discount.

my favorite place to go is bh gunrack in merrit island. best deal i seen. glock go for $475 new or $400 for leo/military. check out http://floridaguntrader.com/ for used guns.
i perfer bh gunrack because the sell new guns cheaper then used ones on floridaguntrader.com
i carry the kel tec pf9 and like the way it feel. i think the glock is to thick for concealing, but i am a small guy.

seriously ... take some time and go down to a large retailer (like a Gander Mountain) and HOLD as many pistols as you can. The most important part of using a pistol is how comfortable it feels in your hand. This may sound a bit silly ... but, there is a reason why Hogue sells so many grips.
Be practical too ... you don't need to have a .45 acp for personal protection ... a .22cal will do just as well if not better considering the majority of actual incidents (i believe the last statistic was that .22's kill/injure more people than any other caliber
)
If you're going to keep it on you then comfort has a whole new meaning. .380's and .25's are both good choices for truly concealing.
If you really want great advice ... go down to the local police dept and ask to speak to a few of the officers. As long as you're serious and polite they typically are very willing to help and have TONS of great info.
