Take the cap off and poor it in. The piece between the tank and pump is a inline filter. Keeps the nozzle and pump trash free.

It should fit anywhere. That battery is only like 6 inches tall so it should fit in the spare hole just fine. I don't really want to separate. Just buy it all.
