AEM EMS
I recently purchased an AEM EMS for my 03 s2k. I took it down to a shop in Kirkland WA and they helped me tune it. Ever since I put it in I seem to have a bit of a harder time starting up. I was told it's a common thing for the EMS. It bugs me though. There are times when it even backfires and the gas station dude runs out and looks all around cuz he thinks someone threw a cherry bomb as his store. lol What should I do? Should I worry?
You have an AEM EMS Mike? My friend had an EVO8 with the EMS unit and he was constantly taking it back to the shop to re-tune. From what I learned from him and others with it, you have to correct for all kinds of enviernmental changes like: altitude, hunidity, ambient temperature, etc. But meaybe that is different now. Has the place in washington given you any input on the issue? EMS guys? No luck, try posting on the main boards in under the hood - I think there is a AEM EMS specfific section too.
yeah, I think I'm going to find another place to get a second opinion. Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can go? It's not so much the fact that it takes several cranks, it's more so that my iddle gets a bit low and sometimes seems like she's about to die.

once it's warm it's ok. however, now and then the iddle isn't so hot and when i decelerate with it in gear it sounds like she's gargling.
