Thumbs up Anybody else have problems with this?

Just drove up the street to quik trip on my lunch break.. and everything was normal. Then when I left to go back to work, I started my car and my EPS light was on.. and the whole way back to work I had no power steering. I parked it when I got back to work ... started it up again just to check again , and the light was off and the power steering worked fine. Anybody else here had this problem at all?

Don't drive enough to have this issue. I agree with the bad pump. Are you still under warranty?

I think I had that happen to me once but never resurfaced. I think the cause was from a quick/unusual start (of the car). Did you try searching on the forum for probable causes and fixes?

Alright, before we get too far off here course, let's go over something.

EPS = Electronic Power Steering

It does not stand for hydraulic power steering. Nor does it stand for electronic assisted hydraulic steering.

The is no power steering fluid and there is no power steering pump! Its all electronic. There is a coaxial motor attached to the rack. You've got an electrical problem.

So I'm still interested. Which fluid did you check?

I did check the forum but really couldnt find a definitive answer... like you said, I saw complains of this happening then going away just like mine did... Lets hope the problem doesnt resurface. Was unaware that there was no hydraulic system involved for power steering on the S thank you for bringing that to my attention.
