Default AP2 front bumper

aight so like the title says, I bought an AP2 front bumper (its berlina black). I did a good bit of searching the forums, they say its a pretty easy install. Im not to sure what they are saying when you have to cut off two pieces of the bumper or else u will see ripples or "nipples"? Also you guys got any suggestions for where I should get it painted? I need it to be grand prix white! cuz after all its the BEST COLOR!!! haha

any info. is much appreciated!!!

I believe there are tabs that are used to hold the bumper in place. Because they will tend to lift the bumper, they may dimple the surface when it's hung.

FYI - maybe the black bumper would look good on your gran prix white (with a CF hood & trunk of course...)

being from the mo side, those guys might have shops over there but if all else fails i know of a shop over here that does EXCELLENT work on matching paint. they have done paint work for my family many a time. the place is called Hoernis auto body. also, i was recommended to J&J auto body from a friend who works for meyer honda. have not had the chance to try him out because i haven't had any accidents (knock on wood) nor have i bought anything needed to be painted. But this guy (joe duco) said they do exceptional work.

I've done this on my AP1... yeah, you'll need to cut about 2" diagonally from the rebar so you don't get 'nippling' on the bumper. It's not too bad... you can use a dremel or cut off wheel.

I would like to recommend Greg's Car Care Center but I've only see great work on brand new parts while 'good' work on repairing used parts. Don't get me wrong, their work is pretty decent but I've been misquoted multiple times.

Many on the MO-side of the river might say that "Greg's Car Care' is an awesome shop.
