Default Auto Shipping

Hey all-

I was just wondering if anyone here has had or knows someone who has any experience hiring out a company to ship a car. I am just looking for the best way to get a car from Rocky Hill CT to here without a bunch of hassle. I thought about flying out to pick it up but my ears hate high altitude, and driving there is 19+ hours one way. Just looking for any constructive input on this.

Here is the car I'm trying to get my hands on.

I call shotgun

Nice find Matt... A couple of companies that friends have done business with is National Auto Transport and Express Auto transport. Look for a fully enclosed trailer and confirm that the car will remain in the spot initially parked instead of being moved at various terminals when off-loading and on-loading other vehicles. I'm guessing it will run you between $900 - $1500 depending on the deals you find.

Good Luck!

I used this a couple years ago to get my Civic here from Pittsburgh - cost me $600 I think.

Thanks but I kinda wanted to save the mileage. Looks like I'm just going to drive my own truck there and haul the car home myself. It will cost about the same as shipping it here but this way I get to see that part of the country. I have never been up that direction so this will be my opportunity to expand my horizons a bit.

I had planned on leaving early Sunday morning and making the transaction Monday then driving straight back home, but I may have to wait til Monday the 17th. Just depends if I can get a certified check from Bank of America tomorrow. There isn't one near me and I don't have an account there so I have a busy morning tomorrow.

It is a done deal now though. Its as good as mine. Just gotta get the little details worked out now. I'm not gonna sleep very well til its here.

Just got back this morning. The trip sucked but having the car here in one piece is well worth the effort. Its everything I expected and more.

Now you know where I've been, Mike. I'll get some details to you very soon for May 30th.
