Question Earthquake?

Hey. So... I was finally asleep, and about... 4:45 this morning, I wake up to hear stuff in my room falling over, including picture frames, glass bottles, and colognes.... and I felt like my entire house was swaying...
After putting some clothes on, I decided to go talk to my parents, to make sure I wasn't the only one that this happened to, and no, I wasn't alone.

I'm wondering if it was an earthquake. Anyone know a place online to check? Anything happen down there? Since you guys are on that really big Fault line thats supposed to go any day, and ring church bells in North Carolina.

Thanks for the help, or possibly making me seem crazy.

I had just got into bed and felt it. I have to say, that I've been in quite a few dangerous and scary situations, but this was down right frightening.

Woke us up... I blamed the cats for making noise and went back to sleep. Heard about it on the news this morning.

That is what I thought it was too - we have 4 cats. I was so out of it - I just wrote it off in my mind.

I guess it's my fault, I missed seeing you guys at Stef's last night. I am a hard sleeper and it woke me up immediately. I would have thought that I was dreaming but it heard my TV Cabinet squeaking. I woke the Mrs and she said I was crazy but saw the news this AM and realized it was a quake tremor we felt. Crazy still?? Yes.

So are your cats lions and tigers??? I think you need a special licence for those kinds of pets....

I'm a heavy sleeper and it woke me up. I guesstimate the shaking lasted about 15-20 seconds over here. It was kinda cool now that I know no one was hurt. I would have been pissed if I slept through it.
