Default Facebook Group

After joining all the normal s2k pages on facebook, I decied to post on the honda parts and honda stl pages and discovered there where a lot of s2k owners that where not active on s2ki. I decided to make a group last week. We are currently at 16 members. I meet a few of the guys this weekend at a car show in soco. There are 4-5 around Fairview Heights IL we all meet up last night to meet each other. Seems like a bunch of good guys. I have come to learn that there is a huge gap in the age for s2k owners, older member using the forums and younger owners wanting to stick to facebook. I would love to be the middle man. I like to use both resources so why not. I am going to try and coordinate meet ups with both groups. Look up S2K STL if you have a facebook. I am currently looking at options for some IL stuff. From talking to deepblue I know the IL side tends to be pretty tame and I would like to change that. Maybe get a cruise/meetup over here going.

Requested to Join - Still pending. Make mention of Gateway S2KI and we can use both to communicate activities

Cruises are easy and I can probably put one together quick enough

I approved your request and I added a call out to the Gateway section of S2KI, I will also add a link when I get home.

Might also add the abbreviated URL, stl.s2ki.com. I admin three other regional S2000 FB groups so I have some suggestions:

Change the group privacy from Public to Closed in an effort to keep spammers and thieves out. Spammers are usually pretty easy to identify. FB will often tell you how recently a person joined FB and how many other groups they're in. If someone joined less than a month ago but is in 64,768,767 other groups, that's pretty obvious it's a spammer.
In more recent years, it appears that FB has pulled people away from S2KI but there's still a wealth of valuable information here so encourage people to search S2KI before asking questions and answer questions with links to existing threads here on S2KI.

Had no idea that link was a thing I will add that. I moderate a bunch of big parkour/freerunning groups from all over the united states, spammers really do suck. It use to be really bad a few years ago. I will keep it public but I will always make it so an admin needs to approve them. The forums are a huge pot of knowledge and I point people to them all the time. I defiantly want this group to work hand and hand with the s2ki forums. Any event on there I will post in here and vice versa. I will continue to keep in touch with the admins of this page especially deepblue, who I have had the most contact with.

Absolutely will do. The S is wonderful! Changed the Oil, O2 sensors and the spark plugs because 1st gear was a bit rough. It was like night and day for 1st and 2nd gear. 2 weeks ago I took her all the way down to Atlanta and back for a car show with some friends and it was amazing. First car I have ever had where I can full extend my legs.
