It's going to get worse before it gets better.

Do you really think it'll get better?

filled the tank yesterday for $45.00 at a 7-11.

Filled the Fit today for $33 at the Mobil in Chesterfield Valley - it's an awesome DD compared to the S: 342 miles / 39 mpg, & doesn't take Premium...

So doing the math, it sounds like the Fit has about a nine gallon tank with a little in reserve. Is that correct? I need to buy a mini or a fit to use as a DD.

For the rocord, I don't think its going to get better. I wish I had the funds to stockpile fuel at todays prices.

Over my last couple fill ups i'm averaging 26/27 mpg driving the S very conservativly for the most part. I can't seem to break the 30 mark.

Filling up in MO rather than IL is saving me $3 a week.

On a side note, does anyone pay attention to super Tuesdays at Shell stations?Premium is advertised as .05 pg cheaper (price on pump already adjusted) on Tuesdays but I never pay attention to the prices on Monday and Wednesday to see if its actually true or just a clever marketing scheme.

Gas jumped to 3.78 in Lake St. Louis today. Getting ready for weekend boaters . Will probably wait to fill up until after the holidays

Mike, 2-3 weeks ago, I filled up my tank and I guess my tank was almost on empty. Maybe I could have drove for another good 20 miles before the car completely runs out of gas. But yeah, I filled it up at $4.09/gal and the price came out to be $54!
