Group Picnic!
Hi Everyone! As we discussed back in December we will be having a picnic on July 12. Now, I am a bit new to this, so if you guys could help me out, where would you suggest that we have this? And is everyone ok with just buns and ketchup, haha? Ok, but seriously, let's get some discussion started early so that we can come to a good consensus on where to have this so people can plan accordingly.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Places that has worked well for us in the past:
Nearby
Babler
Castlewood
Include a little drive:
Meramec
Cuivre River
Most of these parks have picnic areas and/or shelters. My recommendation is to reserve a shelter for $40 and be guarnted a spot for 50 people. The $40 would be reimbursed by all attending (cover fee )
Babler is still one of my favorites.
Oh... and BTW... A good time seems to be from 10:30 - 5:00. Target to eat around 1:00. You can also stay longer as the shelter is ours for the entire day, usually 9:00 - Dusk (8:30 or so)
Recommended games... Washers, Frisbie (Frisbie Golf), Bacci Balls....
Everyone brings their drink of choice and a side dish (Chips, beans, salad, desert..). You or I can purchase the meat (brats, pork steak, chicken) at costco or sams and include the total into the cover fee ($40 + meat cost) / #of people = cover charge.
Just my $.02 - Hope that helps

If you guys don't mind driving a little more south, I can reserve the pavillion by beach.

So, I guess the first question is whether we want a bit of a drive or to stay closer to home... thoughts?
You've got Dates, Times, Recommended places/locations. Now all you need to do is put it together.
Whatever you come up with will be fine for most. You'll not be able to please everyone.
If you need help, PM me.
