i was going to put that up but didnt want to. those, mini-discs players, psp's. all sony and all died. hd is the way.

I can't blame ya at all... but technology changes. I grew up in a time where my parents own 8 tracks and records, and I bought cassettes. But the moment new technology because affordable and there is a HUGE difference, that's when I decide to make the switch.

Remember when LCD + Plasma TVs cost over $10-15K for a 42"er?!

Or when HDTV was only something that the rich could afford? These days, everything is becoming more affordable and worth replacing the old technology. I still have my old school Samsung 28" TV that has served me well since 2000 but it's now my bedroom TV.

HD is cool and all but a house is much better IMO. I would start saving for a house. I only have a year to go. I should have plenty of money for a downpayment in 09.

We have some 331/3rpm records and some 45 and 78rpm as well,some are pretty scratchy...Pete

Dont forget LaserDisc. This relic still watches "Tommy Boy" on it.

Blu-ray/HD DVD combo drive equals future proof HD content now. Especially if combined with renting (i.e. BB online or netflix).
