Ok, I've been searching around s2ki for a little while now looking for dome light LED options and found this Gateway thread.

Couple quick questions.

What are your impressions of these LEDs today? Are they still shining bright? If you did it all over again would you still use these or try something different? Anyone regrets going with a colored LED over white?

Thanks, Brad
I still enjoy the LED's as they are brighter than the OEM bulbs. They brighten the cabin more as well which is huge in the night time when trying to read papers. I do have the whites and probably would not use a colored bulb in the cabin

Iagree. They are brighter than oem and I would definately use white. I have put them in my other cars as well.

Great. Thanks for all the replies. This is what i was hoping to hear. I'll go with the white cabin lights and may opt for the license plate LED.

Keith, I don't know what it is about that picture, maybe its as simple as having a white car, but that white LED on the license plate looks really sharp.
Did you get your LED from the same place (www.autolumination.com) or someplace different?

Anyone else want to go in on an order to split the shipping?

i got mine from there, which was the place that i believe everyone got theres from. i got stopped by a cop one time for an unrelated issue and stated that some cops might pull you over for having a colored liscense plate light. but i guess if they are going to give me a ticket for that, then they will hit me for no front plate too.

Brad-

Word of caution on the cabin lights: the standard bulbs are dual filament (?) so they have 2 intensities depending on whether the doors are open...

The LEDs don't have that: when they're on, they're on & can be quite bright - especially in the S where they're in front of your face (rather than above your head, as in the Fit)

I preferred the '2-stage brightness' so stayed w/ the original bulbs for the cabin, but did swap the licence plate & trunk bulbs - still white, still bright

I was disappointed with the license plate LED. It was WAAY more purple than blue, and barely illuminates the plate. I figure it's worth a ticket if I drive at night.

The cabin blue LEDs are awesome, though.
