Hey guys. I'm gunna be down at Scott AFB for most of march, and was just wondering if there were any meets or anything going on. I'd like to actually participate in some S2K events since much doesn't happen up here (I live in Springfield, Illinois). Just hoping to get in on some action, Hopefully its warm by then.

 

I'm not sure of the Gateway group will have any meets (other than the monthly meet at Stefanina's) but the Honda and Acura Community of St. Louis will be having their annual first meet of the year in March -> www.hacstl.com.

We have detail day planned for 3/15 and a get together for Pizza the thirsd Thursday of the month. As the weather warms, be on the lookout for some improptu day runs

I'm going to be staying at the hotel on base. I'm actually going to my base tomorrow to get my Govt issued credit card, and making my reservations the same day.

I believe my orders are for the 3rd-30th. So anything in between there would be amazing.

As far as the detail day, I nearly o-faced I love detailing my car, and planned on taking my detail supply's down there, in sacrifice of clothing. I have a UDM if anyone wants to use it, I also have a few pads.

Anyone know how much one of the latches for the convertible top cost? I broke mine this winter when I went to drop the top (It was in the 40s). The little plastic piece that snaps onto the bar to keep the lock shut (even when its not holding the top up), that broke so when I have my top down, the latch piece rattles, But I rubber banded it, and I throw my tonneau on anyways, so it's hidden, but looking to replace it sooner or later. Anyone happen to have an extra one? I don't know if the hard tops use the same piece, which is why I'm throwing that out there, incase they don't use the same latches.

 

I think there is about four of us on the board now that live within about 4 miles of Scott, myself included. If your up for the detal day or the monthly pizza night we could meet up and caravan over to MO together.

I am sure there should be some nice weather days in March. Keep an eye on the weekly forcasts come March and maybe we could organize a mini-meet or half day drive.

 

They are a bit over $100 each new from Honda. If you don't mind used ones, keep an eye on the for sale forum for cars being parted out. One of our locals scored a set of used soft top latches for $80 off a parts car.
