Default More Power

In our constant quest for more HP the dyno day was a great start. All had different mods with different results. Some suggestions were adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Apexi S-AFC II Super VTEC AFC2 controller (pn 401-A915). Unorthodox will have a pully set available soon (I'm not sure what there definition of soon is), NOS, ECM change, turbo, supercharger, exhaust.

If anyone wants to go AEM EMS I just went to Church Automotive (Ultimate Lurker on this site). I'm going to try to set something up to get him out here to tune. He is supposed to be the best s2000 tuner in the world. Who's interested?

Took the plunge today in that quest for another 1+ hp. Decent GB from AJ Racing on the Sparrow Exhaust. So I ordered it. Should save maybe 20lbs and gain a horse or two....on my quest to 200hp Also ordered a Cusco Cooling Panel and new NGK OEM plugs from Sparkplugs.com. When it's time to get some new ones (yeah, I know I'm buying them 70K miles too soon, but......), they've got the best price out there. Hadn't really researched our plugs much, but kinda shocked when I saw the MSRP on those. Anybody else ordering parts/mods this weekend? Figured I could hit the stores and buy stuff for the house or go online for the S, the S won out.

Good choice on the Sparrow. I love mine! Hopefully it will sound ok in conjunction with the megan testpipe I'm getting.

Why the Megan and not the Berk? From hearing the Sparrow on your car, I can only imagine that any Test Pipe will only improve the sound as the Sparrow is somewhat on the quiet side.

Someone had one for sale and I jumped on it. I hear the Megan is not as "raspy" sounding. I have also heard some fitment issues with the Berk. I should have it in a week or so.....can't wait to hear it and see if it frees up another pony or two. Next I gotta start researching headers.......so far the J's Racing is what I'm leaning towards.

Berk with no resonator sounds bad at low throttle/rpm but as soon as you step on it the sound is amazing. It sounds like a cross between a Ferrari and a bike. I didn't like the low rpm sound though so I went back to an OEM exhaust with resonator.

If you're looking for a J's Header, AJ Racing has it on the Xmas GB. The Berk looked like it would have a fitment issue at the header, but it's sealed tight using the spring bolts. Both the OEM and Sparrow have a resonator, so I think I'm okay with the Berk. Though, there definately is a hint of drone at idle with the Berk, but nothing annoying and it's only at idle. You should check out the Rick's header for about 60% of the price of the J's. The J's will give you that peak hp at high rpm over the Rick's, but the Rick's will give it to you at 6000. Guess it depends where you want it.

Crap!! All these frackin' decisions. I'm not ready for a header yet.....at least my wallet isn't ready yet. There is still Amuse, Toda, and ASM headers to consider as well. Then a throttle body and I will be set.
