Default My01 got keyed last night!

Well... I though St. Louis had higher standards than some, but guess I was wrong. Was playing in a pool tournament last night. Won some serious cash which was good. However... As I was leaving the Bar there were about 10 teenagers hanging around the S2000 bragg'n to they girlfriends. Needless to say, I hit the panic button on my alarm and scared the crap out of them. Serveral of my buiddies ended up moving them away from our cars (One drives a 1973 GTO - mint condition). We needed to go back inside to finalize the tournament paperwork and when we came back out MY01 was keyed. I have a wonderful 3 foot key scrape on the passenger rear panel and the GTO's hood was trashed.

I've seen these little bastards around before and when I see them again, their A$$ is mine!

After looking at it a bit more this afternoon, it appears that they only got the Gloss coat and some of the paint. Minimal primer exposed. Thank God! I have the tools at home which should allow me to buff it out.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Tom... Who was it that did your boddy work. I want to make sure I avoid them like the plauge

I took it to Verhoff auto body. I'm pretty sure they are out of business now. He was broke. A great body shop, where I should have taken it to begin with was Button Auto Body. In OFallon right before 70 on HWY K. He did my car when it was hit a year and a half ago. It looked like brand new. Made me pay deductible though.

Hamptom Auto Body west is a small body shop on Manchester road in Ballwin... they do great work and for cheap... call them and tell them you heard about them from Bev Pettit (my mother). My mom is great at wrecking cars... so they get a lot of business from our family. U know of any high mileage s2k's for sale in STL.... I am looking to replace my 2000 maxima SE with a S2k this summer. I bet they will be your cheapest and most high quality job in town

Good luck,

Mike

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. Got most of the scratches buffed out myself with a bit of elbow grease.

S2KCRUSIN... Let me check... There was someone at my work posting a 2003 with 24K miles for, I think, $27,000 +/-. Let me see if it is still available and if so, I'll get you the information

8 ball that would be awesome, but I failed to mention I am looking for a higher mileage S2k. So your co-workers would probably be out of my range. Thanks for the thought though. I am selling my loaded 2000 nissan maxima SE for the s2k, and I only want to pay a couple thousand more for the s2k.
