Default password jdm intake installed....kinda...

After about four hours, we finally got this intake on but I have to say that the fitment is HORRIBLE. I believe that I may need to have part of the inside of the hood cut so that it will fit in such a manner that the left side of the hood can close 100 percent. So it's on but with issues. Not too happy about that and am not too sure if the fault is on our end or passwordjdm's end.

On the positive side, it sounds awesome at full throttle. Maybe a slight increase in power on the butt dyno, but who knows.

Has anyone here installed one of these and willing to take a look at the fitment and see if they can make any adjustments or have experience in cutting the hood?

Wow, if I paid $1000 I'd be pissed. Hopefully everything comes out properly.

That sucks. I did a quick search and saw that many others had similar problems. Check This. There are quite a few threads on this topic. Looks like a hood re-aligment took care of most peoples problems. The is also an adjustement under the intak which may lower it enough

I thought about getting a jdmpassword intake too...but after a 2 min research and seeing how people have to cut part of their hoods off to fit it in...that's a no no to me. For a piece as expensive as that and a company as "prestigious" as jdmpassword I would never expect anything less...but of course I was wrong. I was right for not buying it though.

Yeah, I personally would avoid pwjdm intakes if I had to do it again and could not in good faith recommend them to anyone.

I no longer have mine installed as I have the k&n filter that came with my supercharger. I must say its nice being able to close my hood now lol.

Does it require an aftermarket hood with the scoop bump?
