Default Putting the Top Up

Does anyone know if there is a way to manually put the top up or down?
Duane needs to get the top up on mine to do some removal of interior pieces.

Thanks everyone!!!

I'm sure the Helms could help you out... you probably need to give power (hard wire) to the motor to put the top or down.

Yes we have the service manual but Duane hasn't been able to find anything in there about it yet.
Also I was thinking the same thing.... just hotwire it. but we have so many wires that have been melted that may be easier said than done!

I think there's something in the owner's manual. I'm going to go to my car and check If I can sneak out for two minutes...

yep.

...disconnect the electrical connector for the convertible top motor (under lower corner of dashboard on passenger side).

(two people) hold each corner of the soft top and pull up.

p.s. that last post was taken from the owner's manual, not the service manual.
