Default Question for AP2 Owner to Answer

So, in my effort to collect all sort of original pieces to complete my used AP2, I bought a 'quick start guide' from a company on ebay. It took over 2 weeks to arrive, and I have no idea if this is a reproduction or an original.

Could someone that has an AP2 answer the question that I have related to that spiral bound quick start guide. The pages appear to be plastic rather than thick glossy paper, and it measures about 5" in size. The owners manual that I already had in my inventory is bound by thick glossy paper and measures around 6x9". The seller claims that this quick start guide is an original item, but I have my doubts. Personally, I think that it's an off shore reproduction of the original, and I'm looking to see if one of our members has an original manual and they can shed some light on the configuration of this manual.

I bought an AP2 brand new many years ago, but I really don't remember much about the original manuals that came with the car. If you have one of these manuals, and can answer my question, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I have one of these in my 2006 car. Appears to be original. Not how to tell if it's a reproduction but it's with all the other manuals in the secret compartment.

It's matches your description. Roughly 5x5.5". 16 spirals. Part number 00x31-S2A-Q301 Specific to my 2006.

What other questions do you have?

Thanks Chuck, I appreciate your feedback. The manual is indeed about 5x5.5 - which I thought was a bit smaller than what I expected. If your pages are plastic, then maybe this is indeed an original copy. Just trying to figure it all out at this point. Feel free to chime in on anything else that strikes you about the manual. BTW, do you have the warranty manual for your 2006? I'm curious as to what it looks like. Thanks.

My used 2006 came with the owners, consumer information, service history, and warranties manuals -- all the same size and format as the owners manual. The quick start guide is smaller and of laminated (I assume) card stock, not solid plastic sheets.

Some tidbits in the quick start guide:
At times the engine may take longer to start than usual, the engine management software is working to reduce emissions as start-up. ...

When you first accelerate after starting the vehicle, you may hear a buzzing sound caused by the ABS/VSA performing a self-check. ...

Check the oil level at every fill-up.
The service history booklet shows my car was prepped for sale 8-16-06 (build plate shows Jul 06) and was last annotated at 3867 miles when the initial oil change was done at the selling dealer.

Thanks for elaborating on your previous post Chuck, I appreciate it. Based upon the photographs that you attached, I have additional manuals that I need to obtain in order to complete the documentation that goes with my car. Now I know that I'm going to need to find both a service and consumer information booklet in order to complete my documentation. I think that this is going to get expensive... Thanks for the information!
