OK Gateway Group... We are a little less than three months out and things are really beginning to fall into place. Hotel reservations can now be made at a discount. Plans and activities are beginning to finalize.
We do need your help. If you are interested in participating, please post your interest in Meet of the Midwest '07 -, May 5th - 7th, 2007 - official thread. We are trying to get a more accurate head count to allow better planning of our activities.
Therefore, If your interested, post up soon and remember to make your reservations as well.

Our itinerary is as follows:
Sat. Noon-2:00 check into Pear Tree hotel ($65/night). 2:00-3:00 meet/greet clean cars. 3:00-5:30 Scenic Hwy 5 drive to Lansing/Leavenworth passing Kansas finest Prisons (don't pick up hitch-hikers). Stop @ the BIG HOUSE (Fed. Pen) for photo. Return to Hotel-freshen up. 6:30 - Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ Dinner @ Catered to Hotel ($14). Walk over to Dick Clark's for an after dinner drink & dancing, then walk back to Hotel.
Sun. 7-9 Cont. Bkfst. or walk across parking lot to McD's. 9:30 Travel out to the Kansas Speedway for 10:00 tour ($10) and possible photo of our cars on the track, followed by a car clinic presentation by Tim Heron (local Honda/s2k/national autocross guru). Cross parking lot to eat lunch @ Dave & Busters and a little video games (Mo. vs Ks. vs. Neb. vs OK) your going down baby! Some people may elect to do some shopping (many stores in this parking lot including Cabela's). Others may want to return to hotel to chill for a couple of hours or join the group to go carting. All will meet back @ Hotel by 3:00. 3:00-5:30 Convoy down to the Union Station/Liberty Memorial/Hallmark Cards/Crown Center area. Spend a couple hours then on to the plaza for an evening on your own. May I suggest a carriage ride. It is actually quite romantic for the couples!
Possible activities: Ks speedway Tour, T-bones, autocross, carting, Historic Weston, plaza, D&B, village west, Hallmark Cards Tour, WWI museum (5 Stars), Truman Library, Crown Center, Jazz Museum, Negro Leagues Museum (4 Stars), Royals vs Tigers, etc.
