Default Tanabe Front Strut Bar

What does everyone think about the Tanabe Front Strut Bar. I can pick one up for $75. Is it worth it?

If you like the way it looks go for it. If you're buying it because you expect it to do something then don't.

Do any front strut bars do anything or are they mostly bling bling?

I have a Cusco CF wrapped strut bar. By it self not much noticeable difference, but adding a lower cross-brace did stiffen the front end quite nicely.

Jim, spend an additional 50 and buy my Cusco CF wrapped strut bar. Only a few months old. They go for 168 + shipping new. Will go nicely with the CF already under your hood. I think I'm going for more of a stainless look under my hood vs. CF. Let me know if you're interested.

I have the Cusco one too. I would be willing to bet you would never know if it is in there or not.

With the exception of SC's and Turbo's, everything we do to our cars is 95% bling and 5% performance (expensive 5%). But bling is bling. If you were to add enough 5%'s together, you just might have some performance gains. Placebo Rules!

Agreed- this bar has more Placebo value than anything else. Have you considered a test-pipe? For around 100 you can actually pick up a few ponies.

Hey now. I have to report that an upgrade to your tires WILL make a performance change. I just went to the old bald yokohamas to new fuzions. Corners are now fun again. No greasy feel and no rolling due to mis-fitted tires.

Tires make or break this car. As ashamed as I am to say it, I am Kumho for life. These things hook like none other and are very predictable. If anyone is in the market for some new tread I suggest you give them a try.
