Tires/Wheels
So this past snow i was screwed. Getting stuck, not being able to get out of my subdivision. I know, I know, I need all season tires, and I am looking into some as we speak. Others have approched me about having 2 sets of rims. 1 for winter and winter tires and 1 for the spring/summer/fall with summer tires. I was looking at getting new rims, 17's or 18's, but not this soon.
Should I just get the new rims and get good all season tires OR get winter tires on the stock rims I have now and then get new tires and rims when spring hits? Does wheel image in st. ann still give us a discount?

Personally, if you have the option of NOT driving the S2000, that would be my first pick. But if it's your only car, then I would have two sets of tires so you don't have to mess with installing, uninstalling, dismounting, mounting and balancing your tires 2 times a year.

Winter tires are going to cost a fair amount for 2-3mths of use / year plus the issues as highlighted by Keith...
This way, once we're out of Winter weather & you have money saved for new rims, you'd have a spare set of rims to sell & put towards new rims/tires as you choose.
They're waiting for you
how much tread is left? knicks on the rims? then i guess i could sell my stock rims once i have money saved up for the rims and tires that i need. but all seasons are going to be needed esp since snow once again is going to fall tonight and tomorrow.

The rears are new, never used. The fronts have > 50% tread life left... (please see For Sale Thread for tire details)The rims are in good to v.good condition, w/ one having some kerb rash, but otherwise all good to go, ready to put on your car

To answer your next question: I can take some pics tonight & post, PM, &/or e-mail...
You could keep them... have a dedicated set of wheels/tires for winter and a another for summer. That way you wouldn't have to worry about having tires dismounted/mounted and balanced when the seasons change. Just swap wheels.
As for your original question, it's hard to say.
Spring is (supposed to be) right around the corner.
