Default $75 million

That is the price the Sonics (formerly Seattle SuperSonics of the NBA) have to pay the city of Seattle. The Sonics owner wantes to the team to Oklahoma City and the city of Seattle filed suit since the team had a lease with KeyArena. So is it worth paying $75 million to move a team?

I could think of a few better ways to spend $75 million!

As part of the agreement they will no longer be the Sonics. They will have to pick new colors and a new team name.

And move right smack in the center of Tornado Alley! What the Hell is there and is so much more appealing to move there? They must have a bigger deal somehow (though not sure how) there if they're wanting to leave so badily.

The reason they are moving the team to Oklahoma is because the new owners are from there. Seriously. Just so you know.

"Sonics owner Clay Bennett is trying to relocate the team to his hometown. The city of Seattle has sued to force Bennett's ownership group, the Professional Basketball Club, to play the next two seasons at KeyArena, the NBA's smallest venue, as the team's lease requires."
