Default Dragon resurfacing

BULLETIN FEB 26: TN DOT ADVISES THE
REPAVING OF THE DRAGON FROM TABCAT
BRIDGE TO THE NC STATE LINE WILL BEGIN
SOMETIME AFTER APRIL 15. THE PROJECT
SHOULD TAKE 2 OR 3 WEEKS. A GRANITE
OR NATURAL SAND TOPPING (A "NON-SKID"
SURFACE) WILL BE APPLIED. THIS IS THE
SAME AS THE EXISTING SURFACE. WE WILL
HAVE MORE SPECIFIC INFO BY APRIL 1.

I hope sometime after "April 15" is at least after April 21!

I'll speak with Airgate, we may have to change the event date. Not much solid info on the bulletin, saying that the DOT is going to start repaving sometime after April 15th doesn't tell us much. We could postpone until June 15th and still be dodging paving equipment .

Worse than dodging the equipment is the tar, gunk, loose rocks, sand, and wet asphalt.

Maybe the solution is to pull it forward one weekend - April 13 and 14. I know it would be a pain - hotel reservations, etc., but it's an option.
