Fuel Mileage?
Has anyone noticed a difference in their mileage depending on what brand of fuel they are using? I get 26-27 mpg with 93 octane Chevron. Any other brand of 93 octane I get about 23-24 mpg. Just curious
I can't say that I have. I just did a road trip this past weekend from Savannah to Orlando and back. It was about 25mpg on the way down, coming back it was 21mpg between Orlando and Kingsland and 35mpg from Kingsland to Savannah (I was sorta in a hurry between Orlando and Kingsland).... I will try chevron on my next fill up though.
I've always been happy with the gas mileage of S2000's. That 21mpg I got was mostly triple digits and I still got 21
The 35mpg was cruise set to 68mph.

It's because of the Ethanol that some places put in the fuel. I use exclusively Shell. They use 10% ethanol. I get 24 mpg city and 28 highway. That number goes up 1mpg if I use non E80 gas.
The funny thing is that the E80 is supposed to help gas prices go down but I haven't seen any difference in prices between the pure and spiked gas.

I dunno I only ever put BP in my car. I get around 24mpg miles a tank with the AC on no matter what I do.. I have a heavy right foot
I don't think theres much difference in fuel here but I got it in my head the car likes BP best. I think the car likes a bit of ethanol but the mileage is worse.
In uk it was shell all the way because their stuff had higher octane.
Here I don't think the ECU would care even if you could get over 93...
