Default good road......1st time.

I know alot of you live a good clip away from tucker but, I decided to take a new way home today. I took highway 78 to Hugh Howell road all the way out to mountain industrial road and back on 78 to memorial drive and on home.

I have never been on Hugh Howell road before. It is nothing special at all of course. there was hardly anyone on it.
the entrance to it off of 78 is a really tight bend!!! But I managed it at a nice clip. I hate left hand benders!

Anywhoo.... it was more of a nice scenic runaround road for me. I think that I will go that way more often. Nice homes to look at, and I get to see my own kind.

My next task is to go to the Dunwoody/spalding area and take some of those roads.

I live right off the corner of Spaulding and Roberts. I've been doing that run for years. (I can almost do it blind-folded, well not really, but I like to think so) A bit of warning, the turns are relatively sharp, and the visibility is nil. Not to mention the fact that you're in a highly populated residential area where cars pull out with hardly even looking. Exceptional care is needed, but it sure is fun. There are two turns that come close to hairpins. Now that will get your heart pumping. The road is surrounded by some very large and very nice houses, so the scenery isn't bad either. Going west away from Holcomb Bridge there is a tree canopy that gives you the illusion of entering into a dark tunnel followed by a fairly sharp and surprising right turn....very cool.
