Default I got pulled over coming back!

That's right ... I don't know what I was thinking when we left the safety of the Talloulah Gourge (spelling) group to come home on our own. I was experimenting with the cruise control (something I haven't used in Atlanta traffic) and didn't even SEE the cop coming in the opposite direction until he started driving through the median doing a u-turn. I started to pull over and Micah said, "don't pull over unless he asks you to ... he could be after someone else" (he's an optimist!) About that time the lights came on (much to the delight of every SUV and minivan that I had passed who were now passing me!)

THANKFULLY, the nice nice WONDERFUL officer gave me a courtesy ticket. So the rest of the trip I did 4 mph over the speedlimit with my cruise control and enjoyed the day.

I haven't had that much fun driving my car since I've had it (I mean the mountain drive ... not when I got the courtesy ticket)!!! And it was great finally meeting/seeing you guys!!! Thanks a bunch ... and I hope to see you all again soon!

Sandy

Well it's great to hear that the cop let you slide. . .

What's going on in Georgia? Seems like every S2000 is a target! Good to hear that the officer was in a forgiving mood.

I had a great time as well. We had a pretty big group of cars this time.

OH NO! I would have been freaking out if I got pulled over. Thank goodness you didn't get a ticktet!

Sandy, it was so great to finally meet you. I was really glad I wasn't the only female driver on the run yesterday! Your car is beautiful! I guess the cop thought so too......

I thought that it was always the law that if you were going 20mph over the speed limit it was an automatic 6 points. 25mph over was considered reckless driving and they could lock you up. That is why I try to never exceed (or get caught exceding) 15mph over the posted speed limit.

I just printed out instructions from the main board on how to hardwire a Valentine 1. I think I'll order it today and, until that time, go the speedlimit NOT very easy to do after driving yesterday! What a fun time ... I've been telling everyone at work how much fun it was!

Wendy - until you mentioned that we were the only women DRIVERS on the Dillard run, that fact didn't occur to me. WOW ... it's time we did some recruiting!!! All the women out there need to see what they're missing (oh, yeah, and there's a couple nice guys in the club too!)

Again, GREAT to meet all you people (and a nice cop from Habersham County!)
