Lets get something straight here - Paul
"take it how you want it.... i give it as its given... if you take offense then mabey you should look at yourself and decide if you did him right or wrong. you preyed on him like an animal... yeah he was stupid enough to sell you his Kpro for cheap as dirt but in turn you were supposed to help him replace all the stuff that you took... when it came time for you to help him put eveything back together you dipped on him instead. it didnt matter if all the car needed was oil and coolant the fact of the matter was that you left him high and dry and someone else had to come clean up your mess... mabey next time you should just do what you say you will instead of taking what you want and leaving before the job is finished." -Paul(in reply to my post)
Lets start from the beginning.
Mike gives me a call telling me that his car is totaled, he told me that the adjuster was gonna allow him to pull aftermarket parts off and replace them with his stock parts.
In the same conversation Mike offers me his K pro, he said i know you were wanting one so I'm going to give you first dibs on it. I'll sell it for 4 or 5 hundred he said. Me know that's super cheap and that he could get a lot more for it told him exactly that. After we talked for a minute he told me he was looking to get rid of this stuff super cheap but he also needed help to get all the parts off, so i told him yeah, i'll take it, and ill definitely give you the 500 for it and help you take the other parts off.
We talked all day about how we were gonna swap all the stuff from his car to my car, i probably called him 30 times asking different questions and researching how to do this. I also had to request off from work, mind you i have no PTO(paid time off) left and my work is doing slight layoffs, i still requested off work to help him out(not getting paid).
The next day we got to the yard about 10 and didnt get working on the car until around 10:30 or so. We were pulling off parts until 4. We hadn't even started working on getting my sensors by then. With the car missing a few things(a valve cover) WE (Me and Mike) made the decision to leave the car as is, thinking they accept it, because we ran out of time.
They didn't, i got a call the next day from Mike telling me that the car needed to be running. I called Jeff as a personal favor to swing by there on Friday with Mike to install the valve cover because i couldn't take off another day of work without possibly getting fired. Jeff agreed, so that same night(Thursday) after work i went home, removed my valve cover and took it up to the meet to give to Jeff(why i was late). I set it up for his car to be fixed within an hour after he told me it needed to be running.
This argument is completely stupid and needs to be squashed now, which is the only reason I'm posting this...

Boys, Boys, Boys...lets not all get our panties in a knot... Whatever has happened, happened...Everything turned out fine, the insurance accepted the car and were getting paid. Isn't that all that really matters? Mike isn't mad at anyone, I'm not mad at anyone, so why is there a problem?
