Marta - who uses it?
hi, my name is moizz (mo), and i'm 17. i live in houston, texas, and am a junior in high school.
i'm doing a report on light rail systems, and i remembered that atlanta has one too.
can you all tell me whether or not you use marta? i need to know whether or not you live in atlanta and use it or whether you live in atlanta and don't. if you live out of the atlanta city limits and use it, i would also like to know.
thanks, i appreciate it.

The only time I use that piece of crap is to get to the airport or to large downtown events. It helps that my office is right next to a MARTA station but like webgod I live too far out to use MARTA on a regular basis
I also use it only going to the airport on a trip or something, because I live outside of the city. I don't even like to park my car at the Marta station over night. (I actually feel safer parking my car at the airport parking lot). Usually have people drop me off at the station to use the Marta to the airport. It takes about the same time by driving a car or taking the Marta, unless there is an accident on the HWY.

thanks webgod, and s2k troup. are there any coments you two can make, like how many times you've used it, and/or if they maintain it well or not.

I go to Atlanta for trade shows at least once a year and usually use Marta. After living in SoCal for over 20 years, I find reliable public transportation is a novelty and more efficient than driving aimlessly around looking for Peachtree (street, blvd., ave, whatever). LOL.
I don't think it's all that crowded and stinky, but of course I don't usually ride during the peak hours - it's usually a little later in the morning and later at night.
