Thumbs up QUESTION: What makes the best anti rust coating?

this is a forum post, a search on the quest of a spray paint, truck bedding spray...something that allows the car to last MUCH longer without a hint of rust than just spray painting it down with a cheap spray paint.

So what makes the best ANTI rust covering?
any thoughts?

Rhino Liner!!! for real. its a pretty cheap idea if you already have the engine bay stripped down and ready for a coating. i think its like 500 for a truck bed so it would be a bit cheaper for an engine bay... might be a good idea to get the whole underbody covered while youre at it. make some calls and do some searching. you might be able to find a company out there that offers something like that.

Umm do you plan on hauling stuff in the engine bay or parking the car in the Atlantic?? If not, I would just suggested a good basic paint job with maybe a thicker more rust resistant paint for under there. Newer cars don't/won't have issues with rust for a decade and there not rhino lined

well arnt we just a smartie pants lol... JK ryan. nah the rhino liner is just a really strong paint that doesnt chip easily and prevents rust from forming provided there is no rust under it. it was my sugestion is all.

The downside is that its sprayed on 3/8" thick and is very heavy.

ive done body work on $500k cars in the past. Use por15. go to www.por15.com This stuff is so good you can spray right over the rust (though i personally would like to sand it all off) get this stuff and do your self a nice single stage or base/clear paint job
