Default What a day..

I've been on the search for the wheels i think look good on my car for a while now. Started with the Rota Torque (didnt think they were wide enough 17x8), the 2 sets of Rota Grids (18x8.5/9.5 & 17x9.5) and finally about a week ago i was on the forum searching and found some 17x8/9 Work Emotion CR Kai's. So after talking to the seller we decide to ship.

With all that being said I attend tech school and work on cars (specifically suspensions including wheels and tires)

So... After gettin outta class I was told I couldn't change my own tires in the shop because it was time to close up for the weekend... I was ok with being that Dicount Tires is right down the road. So I walk in and say hey I'd like to change my wheels out that are on my car. They later come in after inspection to tell me they can't do it. I ask why and they say that Discount Tires is now on a system where if the tire doesn't support the car they're not allowed to touch it. I said no problem, I appreciate the help and walk out. So I then head over to Raffield Tire Master to be greeted by rednecks left and right. As I go to walk in the manager (so his badge said) walks up to me with his country accent saying "That piece of shit isn't going on my racks unless you want your shit f@#ked up" *sorry for the words* so I quietly walk back to my car and drive away with the rednecks laughing and pointing..

I understand Discount Tires is looking out for the public but shouldn't they already have a paper or wavier saying that anything happening after the car leaves isn't their fault?? Lol sorry for the rant but I was just amazed at how they also tried explaining stretch tires to me lol I acted so stupid.

Comments and thoughts welcome lol since I know I'll probably get hell for sitting low and wanting stretch tires.

Im just curious how far you were gunna stretch the tire. what is it like 225 on a 9 inch wide??

You'll find someone to do it for you.

205/40/17 on a 9.5.. Too wide I know but it was going on a 8 wheels so it wouldn't have stretched at all. The rears were fine it was just the front they didn't wanna bother. But I believe what the system was telling them was that the 205 wouldnt support the weight of the s2000.
