Only problem with the SC'd M is you have to do a few things more: you have to put headers on (the absolute toughest install on a M) which leads to changing out the cats and some modifications to the exhaust. Most people also put a M5 clutch in. I'm going to do some more research on all these costs before committing 100% - this could get stupid expensive fast 
The M is different than the S in that when talking about changing exhaust, you're really only changing the mufflers whereas the exhaust actually starts at the motor......it is somewhat the same as the S but defined differently between these two cars.
