Doesn't mean they won't make the mistake of trying to eat too much, but they should also know there are consequences for every action- good or bad.

You will never sway me from my conviction that everyone is responsible for themselves. And parents should be more responsible for their offspring regardless of their rung on the ladder.
Exactly - my analogy is Child to Parent as Poverty-ridden to Government.

I believe it was Minnesota or Wisconsin where the state government implemented a "get-rid-of-welfare" program that has worked out brilliantly. I lack all the details of the program, but it was based on an incentive to get off the "free ride."
What makes me chuckle though, when people use the term free ride, is that it implies that welfare pays you $45,000 a year or something. I'd challenge anyone reading this to "freely ride" through life with the driplets of money you get from welfare.

As Mark stated, some folks, regardless of background; color, will work hard and some will slide through life. Plain and simple.

I won't get into closing our borders to new folks. Nor will I address each point. I'm too tired. Oh, and scriptures, the one thing I definately know is that you can pluck any verse or passage out of the Bible and use it for any argument you wish to defend.

That's why I never use it in such discussions

I apoligize for creating a political forum yesterday, but lets try to keep as little CNN as possible.

Perhaps a better solution would be to get better friends?

In my experience my conservative friends are a lot less open-minded and more strongly opinionated (I realize that age plays a big part in this, obviously) than my liberal friends, so it's much harder to rationally discuss things with them... So I'd have to give a to that.

I everyone here though, of course!

NO I dont pussy out brother

1. I work at a dealership as you might relate, and you get caught up with work, as I did.

2. I am not political at all, but it sure was fun watching you guys get boiled over this, cuz I just sat back and laughed
If you read it in a little more carefully - I think Dan was saying that the FEMA director pussied out - not you. That was my initial misunderstanding too. My fault Dan.

Just got it into the shop yesterday. Was happy to get a Nissan Sentra over a Dodge Neon or a Kia Rio.

Tried driving it with gas mileage in mind, and got over 41MPG (90.5/2.206). Kinda happy about that.

Hopefully it will be done before FC05 - I am waiting a couple of days for an update on whether it will be done in time... hate to wait til the last minute to register. Trying to dodge :sweetj:s while I wait word from the body shop.

Yo Mr. M3

Drove the M3 around the Nurburgring yesterday. GT4 only has a '04 M3, though, so it was a bit more powerful I think (345hp).

Boy, I could feel what you mean about it being a little more "solid" during the turns. Whether it's the weight or the extra torque, punching the gas during oversteer would right the ship a little better than in the S - I could approach the corners a little more aggressively in the M. I was very impressed with the handling.

Posted a 8:26 in the M, opposed to the 8:57 in the S.

I gotta find an excuse to come down there sometime to check it out
