It will always cost a little more if you do not purchase the tires from them. We do the same for drilling bowling balls here. Bring a new ball in... $50 to drill before add'l inserts. Buy the ball here... $20.

It's called combatting the internet.
I think radial tire charges 15/ install fee if you buy tires from them. But if they have to get the tires from tire rack (one of their suppliers) they charge you tax. so for my case it was not worth it to save $20.

Oh yeah Time is worth a lot right? I'll deliver to Schaefer

And obviously if these wheels don't sell with the tires, I'll drop the price.

Anyway, enough about my wheels. I'll shup up now.

You're doing it wrong

My last trip:

1. Have Tire rack ship tires directly to radial tire.
2. show up at radial tire
3. find super secret waiting room upstairs (thanks George)
6. ask nicely and Paul will hold my old tires and store them for pick up later since I don't have space in the s2k... (he offers me a truck full of whatever I can take... since i'm saving him $2/tire disposal fee).
5. Pay 20/tire.
Radial Tire is on the opposite side of the known universe for me. I have to submit for a travel visa and take a week's vacation to get there.

But it is.

Most ideal... Find a set of AP1's with decent all seasons
Middle ideal... Find a bare set of rims.
Least ideal... Find a set of AP1's with unwanted rubber.

whats wrong with your current set of ap1 wheels? just the tires?

Then you probably don't want anybody drilling holes in them!
